Special Arrangements for Tuen Mun District Health Centre Services under Inclement Weather
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or Above / "Extreme Conditions"
When the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is issued, or when the "Extreme Conditions" announcement is in force, services at the Tuen Mun District Health Centre (including the Core Centre, Satellite Centres, and all mobile service stations) will be suspended. All classes, outreach activities, and "Mobile DHC" services will also be cancelled.
The Centre will resume its services within two hours after the signal or announcement is cancelled. However, if the remaining service hours are less than two hours upon the cancellation of the signal or announcement, the Centre will remain closed for the rest of that day.
Black Rainstorm Signal
When the Black Rainstorm Signal is in effect, all activities and services at the Tuen Mun District Health Centre (including the Core Centre, Satellite Centres, "DHC Express" outreach mobile service vehicles/stations, self-practice sessions, etc.) will be temporarily suspended.
If the Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted before the start of an activity or service, all activities and services will be cancelled. Services and activities will resume two hours after the signal is cancelled. However, if the signal is cancelled less than two hours before the centre's closing time, all activities for that day will not be resumed.
If the Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted during indoor activities at the centre, members are advised to stay in a safe place. The centre will assess the safety situation and may consider continuing the activity.
For activities cancelled during the Black Rainstorm Signal, make-up classes will be arranged based on the availability of instructors and venues. Staff will individually notify participants about the arrangements.
If participants have already arrived at the centre during the Black Rainstorm Signal, they may choose to stay at the centre to rest or wait. Participants can decide whether to leave after the weather stabilizes.
Other Rainstorm Warning Arrangements
When the Red Rainstorm Signal is issued, all outdoor activities will be cancelled. When the Amber or Red Rainstorm Signal is in effect, all indoor activities will be held as scheduled, unless otherwise notified.
Rescheduling of Appointments
For individual appointments (including Health Risk Assessment, Allied Health Assessment and Consultation), affected members will be contacted by our staff for rescheduling after services resume.
Members who are unable to attend their appointments due to inclement weather may contact the Centre to make alternative arrangements by emailing tmdhc@elchk.org.hk or calling 2332 2218 after services have resumed.
